  • Does permanent makeup hurt?
For both microblading & lip blush we will always numb before starting. I always say I wouldn't be able to do this as a profession if it were painful - I'm not in the business of hurting people 🖤 My clients are always amazed by the effectiveness of my numbing method and if we aren't chatting during their appointment, many of them fall asleep. A primary numbing agent is applied for roughly twenty minutes before we start. We also use a secondary numbing agent throughout the entire procedure, once the skin is broken, to ensure you stay comfy.
  • I have existing PMU from another artist. Will you accept me as a new client?
Typically, yes. There are some instances where removal or lightening would be recommended beforehand. I do require photos of your existing work upon booking to ensure the shape and color/density is able to be worked over.
  • Can I get permanent makeup if I have botox and/or filler?
Of course you can! I personally advise clients to schedule botox/filler appointments at least 4 weeks (on either side) from their microblading or lip blush appointment. This means you should not get botox/filler between your initial + touchup appointments. Depending on the specific neurotoxin, they can take up to 3 weeks to reach their full efficacy. Especially with microblading, this can greatly affect the symmetry of my mapping which will greatly affect the overall appearance of the PMU.
  • I just found out I'm pregnant! Can I still get permanent makeup?
Unfortunately not while you're pregnant or breast feeding. Pregnancy hormones affect so many aspects of your body and it simply isn't worth the risk.
  • Should I clean up my eyebrow hairs before my appointment?
Nope! I will shape them at your appointment. It is actually really helpful for me to see where your natural growth is while mapping your brows.
  • How long does permanent makeup last?
Everyone's skin is different! But my clients are typically set for 1.5 years after their initial + touch up appointments. Variables that will affect retention are: oily skin, rapid cell turnover, sun exposure without SPF, not properly following aftercare, and improper product usage on your PMU (such as Vitamin C serums, retinols, anti-aging products, anti-acne products, etc.). Clients with oily skin typically need a color boost around 9-12 months. Again everyone's skin is different, so color boosts are booked uniquely to you!
  • Does the teeth whitening you offer cause sensitivity?
For most of my clients I can confidently say they experience zero discomfort or sensitivity. Some may experience minor sensitivity for up to 24 hours following their whitening appointment. I, myself, have very sensitive teeth and by following the pre-care did not have any sensitivity. The gel used is a hydrogen peroxide gel, which does not contain any harsh chemical ingredients, like many whitening systems/strips. Making it much more gentle and tolerable for those with sensitive teeth. The biggest pre-care factors that influence sensitivity are: 1. Hydrating in the 24 hours before your appointment. 2. Not brushing/flossing 4-6 hours before your appointment.
  • How long does teeth whitening last?
This varies from person to person based off of diet and lifestyle. I always say two responses to this question: It depends where you are starting on the shade chart. If you are starting at a shade 40 we are going to need to do more sessions if you are trying to achieve a shade 10. Your diet and oral hygiene greatly affects your long term results. If you drink a glass of red wine before bed every night without brushing your teeth your results are not going to last as long.
